Join Our Book Clubs: Journey founder Lauren Mattern co-hosts two book clubs, both of which will meet again in the next few weeks:
Chicago City Builders Book Club: This month, the Chicago City Builders Book Club is reading Boss: Richard J. Daley of Chicago by Mike Royko. Sign up to join Lauren, Marla Westervelt Berg of Cityfi, and Mike Ernst of Arup as they lead a discussion on the book and all the latest and greatest in Chicago urbanism. The club meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month - this month on March 26 at 6pm central at Arup’s office in the Loop. Sign up here.
ACT Book Club: On April 2 at 3pm eastern, Lauren will host Christof Spieler at the ACT Book Club to discuss his book Trains, Buses, People: An Opinionated Atlas of US Transit. Lauren and Christof will discuss how TDM and transit can work better together - from how to best leverage transit as a TDM strategy to how transit agencies can adapt TDM principals as they seek to grow ridership.
